Basic information
Dormitory Veľký Diel is a part of The University of Žilina. It provides the accomodation for daily students, doctorand students, students of lifelong studies, foreign students and in the scope of possibilities for employees of ŽU and for guests.
Accomodation capacity during the school year for students (doctorands, empolyees, CVS, foreign students) is 2,330 accomodation places.
Accomodation capacity for guests during the whole calendar year is 65 places.
During summer vacations (july, august, september) there is a possibility to provide all the accomodation capacity for collective actions. There are TV rooms, clubrooms, cinemaroom for 180 persons, film projection, lectures to your disposal.
There is a possibility for bus parking in the area too. Possibility of boarding right in the area, one-time capacity of the dining hall is ca. 1,000 persons.
There are three accomodation blocks in the area of Dormitory Veľký Diel: Accomodation capacity for guests during the whole calendar year is 65 places.

- Block A-B-C-D: two- and three-bedded rooms. Restrooms are shared on every floor. There is a kitchen on every floor.
- Block E-F: three-bedded rooms, restrooms in every room. There is a kitchen on every floor. There are laundry rooms and TV rooms to your disposal.
- Block G-H: three-bedded rooms, restrooms in every room. There is a kitchen on every floor. There are laundry rooms and TV rooms to your disposal.
